Remove Google search bar from Metro?

I would like to remove (hide) the google search bar from the top of the screen on my two U9's. Can this be done, if so I can't find the setting. I don't use it so I owuld like to hide it. Thanks.

Are you referring to the MINIX Metro Launcher? I don't see the Google search bar if you are :unsure:
 
I may have the launcher wrong, the unit comes with two stock launchers, I think I may be talking about the other one, looks like a basic version of Nova launcher, (Sorry at work or I could tell you what it's called)

It is called Launcher3 and it's not possible to remove the search bar.

Just use Nova!
There's no reason not to, other than you don't have to have the search bar!!!! (y)

Or find a different launcher. ;)

It's not the prettiest but you could also try the Metro Launcher.... easy enough to switch back if you don't like it :)
 
Thanks ALL, That's what i need to know, may go Nova, My just leave it, not a huge deal, just creates a extra step for my Harmony remote. Atmos working, fixed the occasional no sound gaps in playback. All is good. Loving these.

Good advice, I think I will try that, Metro was overwhelming a month ago when i got the units, went with Launcher 3 since I was used to Nova on my tablets, now that I have the box figured out I should give Metro another try. (Seems that is what most are using from this thread)

Hopefully MINIX will produce a more up to date, customize-able Launcher in the near future as been ask in the past ;)

Not me, I've never used the Metro Launcher.
I've tried a ton of other launchers but always come back to Nova! :)

That "All Tasks Killer" is a must. I know there are apps to do it in the Store, but they are normally full of extra adverts junk. The smallest stutter in a 4k and for sure there wil be something running in the background to kill. Some things are just to good to let go. :giggle:
