Request Marshmallow or Nougat

Hi there I was hoping or wondering if there is or will be a new firmware update from the lollipop 5.1.1 for the minix neo x8-h plus whether it be official or unofficial such as marshmallow or Nougat or even higher version.
Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated

Unfortunately there is no SDK available for this box higher than Lollipop so thats where we're stuck I'm afarid.
 
Point taken . thats why i am here. lol
The reason i am wishing to update and asked the question is because i am having issues with EAC and AC3 5.1 audio playback on my shows with Plex on my Minix box but the same shows work properly on my Samsung S6 and my Oppo Reno 2 phone though Plex which led me to assume maybe i needed a firmware upgrade in order to get latest version of Plex installed to fix the problem unless you could please advise a workaround to installing latest version of Plex.

I was looking at your latest rom of lollipop . Is that an update from the RC one i have installed currently. Does that have the codecs in it to fix my issue by any chance or are the codecs in the app themselves

My ROM is from RC just stripped down with a few tweaks for SPMC but that is outdated now, codecs would be the same.

Would Linux be an option for you?

I know you want Plex but for media playback another option could be LibreELEC, maybe the codecs are in there:

I tried playing the files through SPMC and the files with EAC and AC3 5.1 audio worked flawlessly. Your image has the codecs .
This proved to me that it is not your image. The problem is within the Plex app itself.
Can Plex also be installed on LibreELEC by any chance as it may be able to get latest version?
