restoring a U22-XJ backup to a new U22-XJ, will it work?

I'm happy with my current U22-XJ and thinking of buying another one.
Will restoring a full backup (twrp) from the first to the new box will work?

Yes it will. You only really need to backup the Data partition as long as the firmware is the same on the units.

Hi and thanks for the link to the TWRP. I wonder has anyonetried to permanent install this TWRP? I am talking about using the techniques described here in the first post under the headings "From OEM update app" and "From OEM stock firmware (with root)". And, if so, are there any side effects of doing this such as:

* Prevent future installs of stock firmware when new releases come out?
* Prevent booting into recovery mode using the reset button/power combo?

etc.
