Rooted device?

No matter if you ignore the message "Your device is rooted" or not, the bitter fact is that all those apps mentioned above WILL NOT WORK in U22-XJ, regardless of the root switch turned on or off.

Yeah thats what Im finding out. Just unboxed it today and found this out. If I had known this I would have kept my older U9 where everything worked . Pretty disappointing .

Correct, but as I have said this has been reported so I am certain Minix will address the issue. Of course if this does not suit your current needs and you cannot wait for the fix then I would suggest returning the U22, perfectly understandable.

Maybe a little more info, as I said I have tested Zoom on my U22 and I have sound coming through. How do you have yours setup, ie how is it connected, any external mouse or webcam etc?

I have it hard wired . Tested another box and no issues running same Android 9 OS . Installed Zoom ...no issues

I got my U22, I flashed the firmware, root switch is on, I tried to install Youtube Vanced but it does not work, root checker says the device is not rooted. But AdAway has no problems and works.

I also have no success yet with Viper4Android. Installation is no problem but when I start the app it says that it will install a driver first and reboot the device. But then Viper4Android freezes. I guess I have to uninstall it again.

If the regular viper4Android version doesn't work, try the legacy version. You might also want to switch to magisk if you can, as it has much better support for root apps and can hide itself from certain apps.

It works great ?, great user interface and you can use it with a remote control.
