Safe to operate the NEO J50C-4 Plus from a DC to AC Inverter?

Greetings all,

I'm trying to solve a remote monitoring power interruption issue with the above Minix computer. It's in a remote location feeding remote sensing information to a global database. There are frequent momentary power outages which shut down the Minix PC. I have it set to start up on presence of power but Windows still waits to finish booting up until I'm there. One solution I've thought of is having the Minix PC get power via a 12 battery which is trickle charged when power is up. Is there any reason why I couldn't plug the Minix 120 volt power adapter into a 12 VDC to 120VAC power inverter? I know the voltage should be right but I'm no expert on this and don't want to chance damaging the Minix PC. I'll greatly appreciate any input on this. My first choice is to solve the problem by getting the Minix to fully boot and autostart the monitoring software but failing that, the inverter is another way of getting continuous monitoring without my needed to visit the remote site after each power failure.

Thanks and best regards!

Thanks for your response! I understand the UPS but why the USB port? Does a USB port output the correct voltage for the Minix?

Thanks again for your response!

The usb port is connected to your device and can tell him that the UPS battery is low and he must shut down properly.
