Screen Flickering when adjusting display to 3840 x 2160

Not sure why, but on Android Marshmelow 6, I can't use the 3840 x 2160 display without it flickering. Seems distorted but settles when putting it on 1080.
But with the newer update 7.1 it works fine, no problems. I can have it on 3840 x 2160.
I am leaving my Minix on the Marshmellow 6 version as it has less bugs and is more stable then 7.1.
Any suggestions on why this is happening?

Im expericing problems with 3840x2160 on my BenQ W1700 4K DLP projektor. First time I used my Minix U9H it worked perfectly, but the day after, I only see the Logo on boot, and my BenQ reports resolution of 2x7680 and screen goes black. Connecting the Minix to a flat screen TV or monitor does not bring back the menu. It stays completely black. Only the logo is shown at boot up. It seems to be stock in 2x7680 resolution??

Only flashing with USB tool (erase all) brings it back. This has happen twice now.

Any thoughts?

Also tried with other HDMI cables and shorter cables. Same problem.
Ohh the HDMI from the Minix is routed through a Sony DN-STR1080 receiver.

Have you enabled the "enhanced format" setting for connecting 4K devices to the STR-DN1080??? (The settings can be found on the AVR under HDMI SETTINGS -> HDMI SIGNAL FORMAT -> *Set the required output(s) to ENHANCED*.)

If you don't set the required outputs to the enhanced format it can cause errors. Otherwise, have you tried the same projector or TV on 1080 only & was the display OK then??? If yes, hopefully the above may fix your issues :).

*ONLY set the outputs to enhanced if you're connecting 4K devices, if they're just 1080 then leave them on the "standard format".

Hope that helps. Fingers crossed :).
