No sd card in disk management
First, you can initialize the disk to show the SD card up on your PC, if not you can try to assign a drive letter for your SD card as well. Formatting your Sd card can be a good choice too. Not sure all this can help you with your situation but worth a try, still not able to see the SD card, best is to recover all the data in the SD card by using an SD Card recovery tool like Bitwar Data Recovery Software.SD Card not being recognized. Getting a Code 10 - Device cannot start. I have updated the bios and installed all the drivers. Any fixes?
Long story short!I am having this problem with my card reader. Had it a while ago and didn't think that it would be a driver issue so I shoved my minix in a drawer and have ignored it for over a year. I am happy to find this thread however, I can't get past Trusted installer if someone could possibly make a more complete guide how to give permissions to other users that are locked from deleting the old driver that would be great. Thank you for the help thus far.
Dang, That's discouraging. I just reread through a bit of it and got it up and recognized. Not sure how to hand ownership over back to trustedinstaller though. That gonna be a problem?Long story short!
I successfully installed everything, including getting past Trusted installer, that allowed the SD card reader to function correctly. It functioned correctly for a period then started failing again.
I gave up using it and switched to USB storage.
I suggest contacting our customer support team - support@minix.com.hk - about the SD card problem, they will help to resolve this issue for you.Okay I see what you all are dealing with now. I was just able to update windows to 1903 and I lost my SD CARD function again. Also while updating windows some where along the way somehow it changed the Disk size to my 256GB Thumb drive to 32GB haha wow what a problem this little PC has been since day one. Who ever thought 32GB EMMC storage with windows 10 was a great idea should have thought just a little bit longer. 64GB or even 128 EMMC would never have problems like this.
MOD edit: profanity removed.
Those assurances did not age well! I had several 32gb Toshiba's which worked very nicely up to version 22H2, but then I had to delete almost everything (apps & data) from the laptop to make room for Windoze updates. In terms of the 32GB eMMC storage; Microsoft were heavily promoting this configuration at the time and assurances were made it would be sufficient for future Windows Upates.
As far as I'm aware this shouldn't be an issue with the G41V !Having this issue on some used G41Vs in 2025 on Windows 11. Looks kinda hopeless that there is a permanent solution. It's a terrible start that the SD card socket is so bad, the card orientation isn't even determinable. It sorta fits flush with the contacts down, or partway in with the contacts up. Which is it?
Someone mentioned that only Samsung branded cards work . is that legit info?
I want to !ike these little computers but there is some hinky stuff going on. I have no SD card detected, no WiFi/ bluetooth. adapter in device manager, and no sleep option after doing clean installs on Windows 10 and 11. Am I hosed?
