Simple Fix For Gboard Not Working

Did you try simply clearing the cache first
??? The most recent version may still work fine just by clearing cache, (or not.) I second that

@Arctic Wolf thx, I tried emptying the cache but that didn't work. Same for data too.
@JJ-Kwick and @Marty, gracias, tried to install the other keyboards but the install required an air mouse which I don't have right now so I'll hold off for the moment.
Actually, the default, pre-update version of Gboard works fine for my simple needs, so Alls Well and Good. I know from my wife's Sony Android Tv that Gboard updates come in fast and furiously, so I'll jump in for a later one and it will probably work.
I have a modest proposal, how about if we keep on doing this? I mean posting tricks, fixes and good apps that we have discovered for the T5? The device is quite new, therefore the knowledge base is much smaller than a mature one. I am a newbie to Minix, therefore my potential contributions are limited at this time, however, we do have some high powered expertise on this board. Good people who have mastered the myriad facets of the T5. Of course, it would not prevent you from answering individual questions as they crop up... this is Job 1, but would only supplement that.
Moreover, many people are not idiots like me when I researched the GT King. I only went into the GT King forum only after I ordered mine. When I saw the sad state of the forum, namely numerous rants and messages of despair, I got that sinking feeling in my stomach... you know... when you scream to yourself OMG!! What have I gotten myself into! This is going to be a shi$show ... and it was.
Your tricks etc. would also reassure prospective purchasers that fixes are readily available, we will support you and you will see that Minix devices are not derived from a Black Art, they are just powerful, user-friendly media boxes for everybody. It would be a Win-Win for everyone?
It's just a crazy idea.... no, I don't do drugs or medication. As I said, just a modest proposal. It can die or fly, I am a vaccinated adult, I will continue to enjoy and use this forum regardless.

@JJ-KwiK I will try the Playstore version of leankey and see how it goes. I understand completely that not everyone is semi-retired like me and has the time to do internet charity. I remember when I had my career in Canada I would never have had the time either. I will continue to post my little discoveries as I make them in the hope that it helps out a little.
