slimBOXtv: Android 9 Pie Custom ROM for U9-H

Hi
There was a button to turn off and files managers if I remember correctly, but the simplest thing is to download Bitdefender and scan.
Thank you
You are right Bitdefender found two programs.
Uninstalling those programs, such as Power Menu and Easy installer, removed the warning.

After you uninstalled the programs did it cause any issue? particularly with shutting down the unit and installing apps from google store?

I just removed these programs.
In my opinion, everything works as before.
I have not seen any behavioral errors in my daily use.
I turn it on and off with the button on the remote, that is enough for me.

Any third-party Firmware is used at your own risk.
It's not a MINIX Forum issue!

It could just be a false positive result!?
Hi
at least ask for explanations, I think that posting firmware on your forum which compromises the security of your forum members should be examined

Go and ask over at SlimBox Forum!

Hi, the image we uploaded is from a forum member Antonio6o6 who edited the image. If I had uploaded the original, maybe I would have asked the creator of the image directly. But even though this image is from an external forum, it is still available for download on this forum, so you should take that into account.

Slimbox has been working well for me for sometime using @antonio6o6 last mod, I use my U9H only for streaming UK TV to Australia via my VPN which has kept my wife happy with her UK soaps, an important thing is to also set your timezone on the box to UK time zone, particularly for Channel 4. Recently I have been experiencing alot of buffering using the BBC Player. I know the problem is not related to my VPN or my local ISP bandwidth through speedtest, and the ITV app works flawlessly. I feel it's to do with settings within the BBC Player itself such as cache size. Slimbox appear to restrict access to these settings as they seem to have some sort of paid through donation(?) access super user mode. which is fair, I guess, haven't really explored much as yet, just wondered if anyone else has any thoughts here? The MiniX using slimbox has always had a few quirks, its Russian origin and such, wondering if they are spying on me. the unit does stream 4K movies really well, however, I feel though it's time to consider an upgrade to another Box if I can't resolve this.

We use BBC iPlayer with a VPN and/or Smart DNS and have never suffered buffering.
Not using the U9-H though, with or without slimbox!
If I can find the U9-H I'll give it a go.

Do you use Kodi?
Try BBC iPlayer in Kodi.

Also you can get ad-free ITV, Channel 4 and 5, and U (UKTV Play) in Kodi! ;)

@Villa I'm so sorry for my late reply, not that active here I will set notifications now. I had planned on replacing my MiniX U9H with a later unit, would welcome advice on what to buy. I did buy a separate VPN server to take the loading of the App away from the U9H but still finding buffering slight improvements. I have always felt that Kodi just adds another overhead layer but have an open mind to using it. As this message stream is to do with Slimbox has anyone tried donating to them to get access to specific app settings like increasing cache size?
