[SOLVED] Cannot find USB Drive under Android directory?

So I am trying to save digital content directly onto my USB Drive. However when I go to direct the download location to the USB drive I cannot find it under the android directory? From my research the USB thumb drive location in the directory should be in this location: mnt/usb_storage

However that is not the case. The USB is mounted... I do have it accessible by other apps like ES File Explorer... and all my files are there??? so I do not know whats going on? This is a bit frustrating cause I cannot point my downloads to my USB thumb drive as I am limited on my Neo U9-H drive space.

Thank you!!

Can you explain us which software are you using to navigate to the USB drive?

This occurs in any app... for example. I want to save a PDF document, or a image file on the internet... say Firefox browser... I cannot point to the drive directly. This happens in all apps I try.

Use a Download Manager such as IDM or ADM.
Search them in the Play Store.

In Firefox when you select a download you should have an option to use the Download Manager (see image below).
In the Download Manager's Settings you will need to have setup the storage location!

Once the download is complete you can open the Download Manger app to see the download or use ES File Explorer (or other File Manager) to navigate to the Download Managers storage location.

@Minixfan1 IDM is particularly good because it detects the type of file and places it in to the correct Folder.

For example a PDF will be placed under Documents
