[Solved] My box no longer powers on using the remote

My U1 box no longer powers on using the basic IR remote supplied with the box. It does power on by pressing the side power button on the box.

I changed the batteries but it made no difference. I also have an A2 Lite remote and that does not power on the box either.

Both remotes work once the box is on for navigating etc..

Any advice on how to fix this problem? Thank you.

Just in case, double check the remote settings haven't inadvertently been changed or disabled in the device settings, more details here. (Yes, it's for the U1 & an A2 but the basic IR sender/receiver is the same.) ....

Having said that & with the memory issues I sometimes battle with, I honestly can't remember if that setting would govern the behaviour of the basic IR remote on/off functionality or if it does only cover a remote such as an A2/A3 etc.)

Certainly something to start with in the meantime, then go from there & check other device settings. Hopefully there'll be more suggestions very soon :)
