[SOLVED] Processor speed/RAM issues

I installed two 8 gig ram chips and the unit only sees 8 gigs, and Amazon says the processor specs are 2.5GHz, but my unit in the system says 1.5GHz. Is there some sort of bios setting I am missing

EDIT: Ram wasn't fully seated. Now about this processor speed false advertising... I feel duped. Went into the bios and found nothing to help.

The Intel Gemini lake j5005 have base speed from 1,5ghz ,this goes UP automaticly when the computer need Moore speed ....

About the ram : its wriiten on minix home page that the box support 2x8g ram ....
Did you check each ram individualy to be sûre that each one work ?
Its dual Channel ram so the 2 ram must be the same.... fréquence.....maybe one of your ram is dead ??

That is the Base Frequency!

Now you know it's actually 2.80GHz, so you shouldn't feel so duped!


You need to look at the Core Speed.

I was already able to fix the RAM problem, it wasn't seated. I had no idea the CPU adjusted. Looking at the HWinfo app I can see it sits at around 780MHz and throttles up to 2.8GHz. I am OK with this.
