SSD not shown a a boot device after a crash

I have a NGC-1. Every now and then it crashes and I get a l bsod. I have had various crash codes. When it reboots the ssd isn't recognised and doesn't show in the BIOS as a boot option. It boots fine when I power off and back up again.
I don't have a spare ssd to swap it for and wanted to see if anyone else had had a similar issue before I buy a replacement ssd. I don't want to buy an ssd if it is a common motherboard issue.
