The power adapter interface dimensions

Hello
I have been using the U9-H for around 18 months now

I was planning to buy a 6A power adapter to be able to use my external HDD properly

At the moment, the TV box blacks out when I plug my external HDD 70% of the times (I always use a USB air mouse)

My question is should I get the 5 mm * 2.1 mm adapter or the 5 mm * 2.5 mm adapter?

I know I can measure the one I have already, but I prefer to get the exact specs if available

Cheers

Thank you

I always thought it's a power issue cos the TV box fails either when I connect the HDD or start using the mouse after connecting the HDD (Sometime it just works)
Sometimes (once a week) the TV box would just give me black screen and I had to restart it

Anyway, I'm not aware of this powered USB hub solution. Can I attach my current "My passport" and minix to this hub at the same time?

I doubt that I'll buy a new HDD anytime soon

PS. Still appreciate if anyone can help me with the interface dimensions. I need to buy a new adapter anyway

This is an example of what @Villa means mate.

You simply connect the powered hub to a USB port on the U9-H then connect your unpowered USB HDD's via the hub. The HDD's then draw their power from the hub rather than the U9-H, placing less strain on the U9-H. Chances are you won't even need the new PSU with a decent powered USB hub :).

Hope that makes it easier to understand :).
