This is how I replaced the stock recovery with TWRP recovery, do so at your own risk OK!!

Download TWRP here

- Rename TWRP3_X8H_Plus.img to recovery.img
- Put recovery.img onto an SD Card formatted to FAT32
- Put the SD Card into your Minix, pull the power, plug the power back in, hold the reset button in and power up at the same time, this should boot into TWRP recovery.
- Swipe to allow modifications
- Select Install
- Select Install Image which is second up on the bottom right
- On the bottom right click "Select Storage"
- Choose Micro SDCard
- Select the recovery.img in the top left
- Select Recovery on the next screen and swipe to flash
- Once flashed select Reboot System

You sure can (y)
I'm trying but minix is not picking it up from the sd card, it goes straight to the stock recovery.

When should I release the reset and power button? Does it matter? Can you clarify?

On a different note: Is it reasonable for me to assume that the twrp I used for KK should be compatible on the LL rom? It's a zip flashable so it should be easier for me to install it and it was working well for me. Sorry but I can't find the original thread to ask there.

I would say yes as I have not seen different versions of TWRP dependent on the OS.

Thank you. In the end I used an app to reboot to recovery and it loaded the recovery.img from the sd card, not sure why I was getting the stock recovery when using the manual method, maybe something to do with the Finless LL rom.

On a different note, are you aware if backup encryption works with this twrp?

What if the device doesn't have TWRP installed?

the link to the TWRP zip file doesn't work. Can you direct me to the TWRP U9 zip file? Will it work by loading onto a USB thumb drive or does it need to be on a SD card? Thanks guys

Hi there,

I'm facing the same issue here. Could you please talk me through the process that you've followed. Thanks in advance.
