It working fine a year or so, then it all stopped and now the TV is not even detecting any signal from the device, even though the blur light is lit... any suggestion?

Have you tried anything yourself yet to resolve the situation? I would start by searching through the forum for similar problems to yours. Another good start would be to try a different HDMI cable and progress from there.

I tried pressing the power button to see if i cam bring up the reset interface, doesn’t work, tried diff hdmi port doesn’t work as well

Hi. You can try also with another HDMI cable (i don´t know if you use the HDMI cable that came with the device) and if you have other TV.

FAIL! Try again lol ;).

I'm not being funny bud, we're here to help but if you ask for advice with a problem how can you expect to get anywhere if you then completely ignore the advice you receive ;)??? (Trying a different HDMI input on your TV is utterly pointless if the cable itself is the problem.)

sorry if dun mean to ignore anyone’s advice, i read that some got it sorted by plugging into other hdmi port, so i did that, and i also tried other older hdmi cable and also a new hdmi cable, all not working...

You don't need to apologise mate :)!!

Do you have another HDMI TV/monitor you can try next? (I realise it's not always that simple, not everyone has multiroom entertainment or spares lying around.)

Do you have an SD card inserted or any USB drives attached as well? If yes, have you also tried removing/disconnecting them before testing with your different cables?

If that fails too, unfortunately you may then need to consider re-flashing the firmware given your sudden & extreme symptoms. Get everything ready but hold off for now in case someone else has some additional input :).

are you getting a red light coming out of the spdif port, if not looks like a fail to me and you should try a refalsh

I dun see any red light anywhere i’m afraid.. the bummer is i’m using mac at home and i will have to scramble around if i do need to reflash the device....

Aahhh, yeh, hope you have a friend/family with a Win PC you can briefly borrow.

Re-flashing only takes about 5 mins once you can get in front of a Win PC ;).

and then the rest of the day reloading and setting all up again ...j/k :(:)
This was a painful experience in my early days of flashing until I discovered TWRP with its full backup and recovery, I would make a full backup of the fresh install then incremental backups of data only to fall back on if ever there were issues, time saver indeed.

Perhaps you could put together a little tutorial on how to do this ??

Good call ;).

Of all the damn days my U9-H had another episode of getting completely stuck at the splash screen again a couple of hours ago too. Typical!!!

You can also actually re-flash using the USB Burning Tool without completely wiping out all of your settings & installed apps.

When going through the official MINIX flash procedure uncheck all available boxes in the burning tool & then just check the box for ERASE BOOTLOADER only.

Thankfully, it cleared the device being stuck at the splash screen & I was back into the device with everything otherwise intact. (All those times I had to re-flash the other U9-H that did it repeatedly & just never thought to try this lol!!)

I had to manually delete a few duplicated thumbnail/general files that had completely filled up the internal memory. Otherwise, it seems OK so far or I'd still be reconfiguring my main U9-H again right now.

Wish I'd stumbled upon that one earlier lol.

^^^^^ It might not work for every instance but it's worth trying given the alternative of a complete sys wipe anyway ;).

U9-H stuck at splash.jpg

If it's of further use, a graphic example :).

1. Import the FW image of choice & connect the U9-H to the burning tool as normal.

2. Ensure the highlighted box only is checked. (It re-flashes the firmware but otherwise leaves all existing settings, files & data intact which could save HOURS of reconfiguration :).)

3. Run the device as normal. (It'll want to re-optimise all apps etc., once done hopefully you'll be straight back into the system again.)

Hope it saves you some time & messing around @Nikefreekz :)!!
