TVs that the U22 will actually work with.

Frustration has finally set in and now I am regretting buying this unit. I have a U9H that works perfectly on my Samsung unit. This TV is less than 2 years old is a UHD model that tries to show 4K. I have a very simple sound bar, nothing special. When I hook the 22 up the TV doesn't recognize it and I have to go thru a few steps to be able to use it. The only way I can get it to basically turn off is to disconnect the HDMI cable. That is weird! Once I get it up and running it works well. The TV in another room is a Sharp nothing at all special that only sees 1080p and the 22 works just fine. I am wondering of those out there that have no issues what TV units are you using? I have the latest update 0005 and have factory reset it to death. I know this has been a subject for awhile but wonder if techs are really addressing this issue. Is this a unit that should only be used on the most basic TV?

I use Samsung TV's I have 3. None of my TV's are "SMART" . My oldest model is 10 years, my newest is 1 year. I do not like smart TV's, its the interface I dislike with that annoying sliding access bar that is the killer for me. I do not have any issues with them apart from the oldest one not being able to detect resolution output changes when I switch between any of my Minix boxes, so I have to select the HDMI port and turn off the TV and restart, it takes a few seconds.

Yes the U22 does have some ( somewhat random it seems ) HDMI related issues but hopefully these will be resolved soon as they are definetly working on it .

Thanks! When the 22 works it works well. It's just going thru the steps to get there thats freaky weird.

With LG OLED 65B no picture at all, only 1080p.... even with HDFury Dr. HDMI 4K...
The U22-XJ is useless with LG OLED's.

"No picture at all" or "only 1080p", which is it?

Booting process:

Without HDFury Dr. HDMI 4k:
Minix logo with green android -> signal lost (no picture)

With HDFury Dr. HDMI 4k (I'm tried all UHD EDIDs):
Pulsating Minix logo -> Boot to android -> Only 3 Display Mode appears (1080p-60hz, 720p-60hz, 480p-60hz) in the Settings

I have an Apple TV 4K and Nvidia Shield 2019 Pro, both working fine with 2160p 60hz.

How is your setup?

1-U22-XJ connected direclty to TV?
2-Are you using latest TV firmware and latest U22-XJ firmware?
3-Are you using original HDMI cable?
4-Did you try a factory reset?
5-No image at all or only 1080p ?
6-Apps installed?
7-Did you try a factory reset?
8-Did you check TV settings and U22-XJ settings?
etc...

There are some variables that can make image reproduction that way...

Note:
With a clean U22-XJ ROM, original HDMI cable and at least latest firmwares (U22-XJ and TV) you should not have display problems.
