U1 crash when playing video, be it a video file or streaming

Hi, guys:

I hope this hasn't been anwsered elsewhere, I've tried searching but didn't find anything.

My U1 has been working perfectly up until around two weeks ago. It started when playing video with VLC, Bsplayer or XBMC, it all seems alright but at some moment of the reproduction, sometimes around an hour, other times sooner, 20 mins or so, it stops, freezes, doesn't respond to anything, and I'm forced to unplug the AC current to switch it off. I did a factory reset, but it's still giving the same problem, and these last couple of days I noticed the same thing when playing vidoe with Netflix and Prime....

So... any ideas? Thanks in advance!

If you've already carried out a factory reset try reflashing the firmware instead for a completely fresh start.

Full instructions here - https://theminixforum.com/index.php?threads/neo-u1-install-the-firmware-with-the-burning-tool.177/

Official firmware options/versions available here - https://theminixforum.com/index.php?forums/official-firmwares.28/

Just ask if you need further assistance :).

Try reflash the firmware as told before.
Dont use untrusted websites, untrusted addons in kodi.
Use the basic apps installed and try with that.
If you can use local network (streaming from a NAS for example).
Use the firmware provided by @ArcticWolf .
