U22 conversion to U1

It took me a while but I found a copy of FW012, which had no problems and had perfect mouse scrolling with JetAudio and Chrome. So both FW012 and the Marshmallow from here worked as they should. I then downloaded again the FW013 from here and installed that, which was straight back to the constant rebooting. So basically my U1 just doesn't like the FW013 ROM, although it worked perfectly for many months. I would love to know why, although I guess it'll remain a mystery, unless anyone can shed any light on it.

I can't live with the lack of proper scrolling and the clicking whilst typing, although I turned off the system sounds, on the Marshmallow, so I will have to use FW012. I did try the FOTA with the FW012 but it said no connection, even with the WiFi connected.

I hope this helps some others that have suffered from the same problem. My biggest tip, if you cannot get the burning tool to work, don't waste your time with the drivers or anything else, go back to an earlier version, V2.1.9 worked for me.

I would like to see if you can restore a TWRP image on the U1, I will PM you details but please be patient as it won't be immediate as I need to create the back up first.

I have managed to root my U1 and have installed TWRP, but don't know where to go from here. Sorry if I have jumped the gun. Any help from here would be most appreciated, but I'm in no rush.

From what you have described I would say there is no point in carrying on with the TWRP option I was going to do for you. All I was going to do was create a backup of my fresh install of FW013 from my U1 which you could then restore with TWRP on your machine. However if FW012 and the Marshmallow ROM work then I would stick with that if I was you. But, let me know if you would still like to try a TWRP restore and I will create one....

Just out of interest, have you tried flashing any of the custom FW013 ROMs to see if you get the reboot issue?

Thank you very much. I will try the two ROM'S and let you know how they perform before I trouble you with a TWRP image. I did try an install of FW013 after root and TWRP, incase they made a difference, they didn't. I would like to get it back to FW013 if at all possible, if not I will put up with FW012. I really appreciate your help.

I have installed both of those ROM's and they both go into bootlooping. So every version of the FW013 I have tried (at least 3) all bootloop, only the FW012 and the Marshmallow do not bootloop. Therefore I really would appreciate it if you would kindly send me a copy of the TWRP image for me to try, if nothing else it would narrow things down further. Please do not hurry though. I really appreciate all of your help and assistance. Best Regards.
