Hello,
Today i received my U22-XJ and settet up Coreelec. My AVR (Pioneer VSX 932) is Hooked up with my TV (LG UM7510pla) and my U22-XJ is hooked up too on the TV.
When i select HDMI Audio Multichannel i wont get any Sound. Do i need to plug the HDMI of the U22-XJ directly into the AVR? Then it works but i cant move the Menus with my TV Remote and i dont know if it transfers the Dolby Atmos and Other signals right because it doesnt show the name on the AVR it only says PCM.
Is there a way to get it working Properly?
Thanks a lot
1. Yes, you need to connect the U22
directly to your AVR by HDMI for the AVR to correctly handle all audio passthrough. (If you connect it directly to your TV then the TV then essentially becomes the passthrough device & that won't have the same capabilities as a fully featured AVR.). If you have a modern HDMI AVR,
all of your HDMI devices should be connected via the AVR, not the TV.
2. Ensure you've enabled the
expert settings in Kodi. Once done, under the
system audio settings,
enable audio passthrough & set the
passthrough output device to
ALSA: AML-AUGESOUND, HDMI. (This is separate to the
audio output device at the top of the audio settings which should be set to
ALSA: AML-AUGESOUND, HDMI Multi Ch PCM.)
3.
Enable all audio passthrough options that your receiver supports.
4. Ensure the "sync playback to display" option (settings, video, player) is definitely disabled.
RE:. Your TV remote not working to control Kodi in CoreELEC. Not all are guaranteed to work via CEC, (mine works fine but I have a Panasonic, not a LG), but...
Presumably HDMI CEC is already enabled on both your TV, & the AVR? (Each will have their own individual settings.)
In the settings for CoreELEC, scroll down to
hardware & enable the option for "
inject BL301 Blob". Reboot CoreELEC & then try your TV remote again.
If it still doesn't work, go back to Kodi's settings,
system, add-ons, input. Under
input, select "
peripherals" & select the CEC adapter, (this will open all available CEC options in CoreELEC for you to configure as you wish). CEC should already be enabled by default, but check that CEC is definitely enabled, then try your TV remote again, (reboot CoreELEC if necessary).
Hopefully one or all of these settings should resolve your problem but obviously let us know either way
