U22-XJ Freezes and reboots

Just got this as an upgrade from a 2016 U1 and so far all this one has done is lock up and reboot. I am on the latest firmware but every app or setting I change or add it either locks up or freezes.

Rebooted going to Playstore X 2
Rebooted while putting in Google credentials
Set display zoom - rebooted
Rebooted while adjusting time


Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Just flashed U22-XJ-V004-Android_0.020200612 using USB_Burning_Tool_V2.2.0 - No change - will not stay on for more than 2 minutes then reboots

Given where your at I would think you may have to clear the cache and factory reset from the recovery menu ( you will lose any settings and user installed apps) . Then only add one app at a time and test.
Latest firmware via OTA is FW004
 
Thanks for the reply - I cannot get to Playstore yet to add anything - not getting past setting it up out of the box - time etc... Seems like after I reflashed the firmware it lost all settings and few changes I was able to get to save so not sure if a Recovery is necessary but willing to try anything...

Update: has rebooted on it's own consistently for the past 2 hours non stop - exchanging the unit for a new one

Sorry for the delay in responding John. I received it yesterday and works like a beast. I guess there is perhaps a hardware issue with the original because the replacement works as designed with no freezing or reboots at all.
