U22-XJ vs. U9-H

Landed here while searching if my current old trusty U9-H knows or not Dolby Vision (the mkv DoV files play with a wrong green tint), and it seems it doesn't know.
Found out of this "new" flagship from Minix and start wondering if should I upgrade the U9-H.
My only use case for U9-H/U22 would be Kodi with movies/series from my NAS.
I want 4K, Atmos, HDR, DoV to work. That's pretty much all :). Ah, and off-course if U22 is faster than U9-H (which I understand it is) then I'm okay with this also .
So would U22 tick all the checkboxes for the above ? With OR without original firmware (as I saw written somewhere that U22 doesn't pass Atmos with original firmware, but does the U9-H does it ?), I don't mind to do some tweaking...
U9H does not support DV
Kodi does not support DV
U22 supports DV using native media player
U22 supports 4K, Atmos ( not HD audio though unless you use CoreElec) , HDR

Thank you @pusb87 , I forgot on the chain about Kodi (took it as granted, but seems it doesn't work yet) and also the receiver (checked and Denon X4500H supports DV), so technically I could do it but not with Kodi.
Now I'm wondering if does it justify an upgrade to U22 given the facts and my usecase
Any (other) pros/cons on doing it ?

to be honest I dont think so and would stick with the U9 until Minix develop a U22 firmware that manages HD audio and fixes other significant bugs.
To be frank Minix have upset so many users with the lack of progress in sorting out the U22 firmware, as you can see from the many posts on this forum.

Many thanks again, so I will wait some time, until, hopefully the U22 will be a worthy upgrade to U9

You may also want to wait for the newer U22-XJ Max ;)

Cool, sounds great, any timeline for this ?

This will also need to have its firmware free from the same bugs.

Its nearly 2 years with no significant corrections for the U22 so your guess is as good as anyone else's for the Max version !!

Well ... Minix is releasing a new product with some problems solved and does not fix those present on U22 of the previous version? And we who have purchased this box and have been waiting for the resolution of the various bugs for some time, what should we expect? Maybe Minix will replace the old box with the new Max version for free? (obviously this will never happen) but it doesn't seem honest and serious to me to see a new box come out on the market when the old one still suffers from a lot of problems!:mad::mad:

So I have been using my U22 for over a month. Leaving it on all the time seems to help alot. So far the only problem I have is the airmouse doesn't work well . Minor issue that I tolerate. Also, my U22 seems to work very well with my IPvanish

Funny that I bough a different box for my friend. He's very basic when it comes to android boxes. I set them up for him and make it as basic as I can. I would never have bought a U22 for him because it would just frustrated him

Replaced an U9 with U22 and the response of the system improved significant. Using it with SurfShark and IPTV Smarters - U9 required a lot of hard reset (power disconnect), U22 is very stable, no disruption after 2 weeks of continuous usage. An AirMouse is connected and works OK. The only challenge was the white noise interference on the audio- fixed by changing the power supply
