U9-H-CE FW001 Android 7.1.2 20191120 [Community Edition Nougat Firmware]

Allow @123kajote the chance to respond with his subjective configuration rather than needlessly preempting him bud :). (As you've rightfully pointed out, you don't know.) The guy is obviously very frustrated by the problems he's experiencing & I'm fairly sure the last thing he wants or needs at this point is someone posting up that "they don't have problems" (again) without offering anything of additional use to fix his issues :(!!

@123kajote . Given these problems you're experiencing you could consider creating a new thread under the off topic section of the forum & title the thread accordingly. Those of us that use NAS may be able to help you troubleshoot your problem if you haven't already fixed it yourself :).

Have you also tried the Synology and/or the Kodi forums regarding your specific issues? (The more exposure, the better the chances of an answer to your specific problem :). All three have certainly helped me in the past if I've been stuck with something :).
Hay,
Thanks all od you..
I am definitive sure that this is KODI problem not firmware.. cause v17.6 works 100%, Lea 18.1 and 18.5 Just problems... Everything Else same for all 3 setups.
I am Using SMB, i do think that v1 is used ( as I switched min to v2 it wont work)

I am tyred of doing setups after setups, so I do think i Will stay with 17.6 for now..perhapse in the future KODI Will become stabil as it is 17.6 (setups without needed tweeks)

Thanks, J ?

Fair enough. You know where we are if you want to give it another try.

Kodi 17.6 is still an extremely capable media center :). Whilst you may lose support for certain add-ons (if you even use them at all), there's nothing wrong with reverting to an older version given the circumstances :).

Enjoy :).

Hi guys, just a quick problem,

I have a U9 - H and just upgraded to the latest firmware from this forum.

Foxtell Go and some other streaming services detects HDMI Output and wont let me watch.
Is there a way to hide the output?

I found out that disney + is no longer available in multiple Playstore. So problem gamepad remains

7.1.2 installed without any issues, looks great !
problems I encounter :
1) not found in the app store in disney+. apk installed but when watching a movie I have no sound
Disney + has to solve this, I think

2) Gamepade Ipega PG-9028 not working with Real Racing 3, Asphalt 8 no response if you use the buttons
from the gamepade there is no connection from the buttons A, B, Y, X and the arrow keys

Gamepade not working for the U9-H and T5

can this be solved?

(Purely out of interest)...... Did your Foxtel Go/streaming apps previously function normally with an HDMI output & the U9-H when you were using the stock ROM (6.0.1)? Or, is this a problem you've encountered as a consequence of switching to 7.1.2?

Thanks for the reply ArcticWolf,
Yes Foxtel Go originally worked with the stock ROM that came from the box.
I updated to 7.1.2 because YouTube and Netflix no longer worked.

I updated to 7.1.2 via usb and burner tool advised from the forum,
Now i cannot stream Foxtel GO due to external device detected via HDMI output, and also 1080p onwards on Youtube is playing up filling up the screen with Green.
But Netflix works fine, though you cant scroll through the menu with buttons, only with magic cursor.

I heard the original stock rom came with a built in spoofing system for HDMI output to trick those apps. But this new update doesn't

So far it's doing pretty much everything I need of it.
One minor 'nuisance' issue:
(I use Minix A2 Lite Remote & Nova Launcher with it incidentally)
I typically leave the box 'on' - just close all running apps and turn off the TV power;
Most of the time when I come back to it the next day, I have a black screen when the TV is powered back on and nothing I do with the remote brings back the video - my only recourse is to pull the power and re-start it.

There's nothing I can see in the settings that could affect this - any suggestions?

Have you tried cycling the TV AV inputs?

Thankyou @Villa
Yes, have tried that, makes no difference - when cycling through and come back to the Minix box input (this is the only device connected) it still just shows completely black screen, with nothing from Remote that has any effect

I tried first unplugging & re-inserting the USB remote receiver, then re-inserting into another USB port - neither had any effect

I did notice that when the system reboots, the mouse pointer does not work until after the desktop has fully loaded - so perhaps it's as if the system has gone to sleep, including the USBs and will not re-awake since the USBs are NOT active.

I have now gone into the Developer Options and enabled 'Never sleep' - we'll see if that has any effect. (TBD)

Update - it still did same thing with the 'never sleep' enabled - also the USB itself does not appear to be dead: when pressing the 'enter' button you can hear a 'swoosh' sound with each press, but the screen remains black

Quick question, how can I enable SMB server on this FW?
I want my External HDD that is plugged into my U9-H to be reachable on my Windows PCs all over the network.
Thank you
