U9-H-CE FW001 Android 7.1.2 20191120 [Community Edition Nougat Firmware]

Hi. by default when you press Power button (IR remote control or a2 for example) the device goes to sleep mode.
If want to change that go to droid settings (all apps) or click ir remote control settings button to acess that.

notrui - I have spent an untold amount of hours trying to find this...thank you so very much :)

Marshmallow is Android 6 o_O

can you post screenshots of all your minix audio settings and also the audio settings of any app that you are using which you are having issues with. Also detail how your devices are connected and which firmware you are using.

Perhaps we can then work out what maybe causing your issues.
I know. But that is what is AFAIK the official "supported" Minix release.

But I've got good news. I'm typing this listening to music from my U9.

For those that haven;t read all my posts, I lost my sound after upgrading to Nougat (from the factory Android 6 firmware). I had no sound through HDMI or headphone jack. But Bluetooth worked. The last thing to check was the optical output. Today I found myself an SPDIF cable and, lo and behold, my sound worked immediately. But then ...

it continued to work after I switched my receiver back to HDMI.

Sometimes, I hate computers (which can be a problem, because I'm a SysAdmin). I just don't understand why it now suddenly works. Of course I tried all the suggestions from this forum, but so far nothing seemed to work. And now, suddenly, it does. I say: Don't ask why, enjoy!

Next steps:
1. Why can I put my U9 to sleep with the remote, but not wake it
2. Will it now be possible to mount SMB shares (for use with Kodi). With the original firmware, I couldn't.

Hi, as you may have seen I had same problem with the sound through HDMI to my LG TV, the sound appeared sometimes, but most of the time no sound. No problem at all when I use SPDIF or BT.

1. I also noticed similar problem, but I never put my U9-h to sleep, anyway, after I switch my TV to HDMI1 (sat-box) for a while and switch back to U9 HDMI2, the screen is black. Sometimes the screen comes back when I click home button on U9 remote, but most of the times I have to pull out the power. It's no problem with other things connected to any HDMI-ports on my TV.

2. I have no problem mounting via SMB when I use 7.1.2 or 6, I use SMBv1-3 on my NAS and Windows 10.
SMBv1 is not installed by default in Windows 10 (SMB 3.11).

Hope you have some benefit from "my problems" :)

Thanks for this community rom. It's fantastic. One question, is there any setting in it to force an app to display in landscape mode as opposed to portrait mode?

I believe there is.
Sorry I can't direct you to the correct Setting as I have yet to flash this ROM.

Hi,

I only get black screen when connecting to my Sony STR-DN1080 AVReciever. Only the boot screen shows up after Power on. I have tried all HDMI inputs on the Sony AVR, same results. If I plug it directly into my TV then it works. (Tested on both a Sony and Samsung Tv). I have also tried to change HDMI / Display / Resolution settings on the Minix, and then take out the HDMI cable out of the TV and into the Sony HDMI input, but with no luck... Still black screen. Also tried to change settings on the Sony for HDMI input from Standard to Enhanced (4K stuff) but same result.

My Sony is runnings latest FW, I use 18Gbps HDMI cables. Any one else here using Sony AVR with the Minix with 7.1.2 ?

Any settings I could try?

Best regards

Hi

I have the baby brother to your amp (Sony STR-DH790) and dont experiemce any of the issues you are having.

@ArcticWolf has the same amp as you and Im sure also doesnt have any similar issues either. He will probably chip in and possibly advise on settings, not that you appear to me to have anything wrong.

Indeed, I have the DN1080 as well & I have the same issue with no display/blank screen..

Obviously there is something going on with our DN1080's & this ROM. (I have a secondary U9-H specifically for testing but if your U9-H is your primary device you'll be best reverting back to the stock ROM for the time being.)

I hope to receive an updated working build of the ROM in due course for additional testing. I'll let you know how that goes & @tag you on the forum if anything changes :). (Please don't ask when that might be, however ;).)

All good guys! Sound, display, network, bluetooth are all working fine for the last week or so. Thanks for the effort. A virtual beer from me!

For me it works well. Both WIFI and Ethernet.
I have static releases on Router.
U9-H is with DHCP (always) enable (you can not change to static ip with this latest firmware)
