U9-H processor/mobo ever revised?

I have had a U9-H sine just about the time they came out. It has been absolutely flawless for me since then running Kodi.
I am looking to purchase another one to replace an aging Win10 HTPC in my front room and I notice that they list the processor as the S912 ?
Is that the same processor that has been in the U9-H since they came out?

Lastly, is there anything better/faster out there that I should consider before spending money on another U9-H ?

The Skystream 3 Plus looks like a pretty good box and is slated as the best Android box for 2018 on a couple of blogs I looked at...

I believe it has not changed.

You may want to wait for this...


It's due to be released very soon.
 
I'm really curious about this new box. I wonder if the Rockchip Processor (RK3399) will be as compatible as the S912 with all the nice aftermarked goodies we can install on our favorite toys.
 
Ooooh, looks interesting. Nice to finally see a USB 3 port.

Just wondering though, is that USB-C port useable for input too? I see he said 4K60P video out, but did not mention input.
