u9h Software Upgrade

Hi.
I have managed to refresh my firmware to 008 successfully. However, trying to do an OTA software encountered the message, Contact OTA server provider. Does anybody know if this is a temporary issue. My u9h is currently on v 6.01.

Any advice greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Your post is a little confusing....If you have flashed or aready have FW008 then you are on the latest official firmware with Android 6, and there are no further OTA updates available.

If you wish to try the CE Android 7 ROM then you will need to flash using the USB burning Tool

Thank you. I did not realise that Android 6 was still the latest. There are numerous posts about people using v 7.
I was also unaware that OTA was no longer available.
 
Thank you for the reply. But, as my v 6.01 is working fine, I will not upgrade.
I do not have windows and use a mac.

My Fw008 was carried out using a friends windows PC.

I will wait out for the U22.

Yes.
Maybe someone will build a custom rom but android 7 will be the last official one.

As said before and in other threads nougat will be the last official version for U9-H.
Maybe as @Skynet said someone can create a custom ROM based on android pie.

For now at least the apps i tested and i need does not require a higher version of android (i am using beta CE latest ROM)
