Ugoos TV Launcher - Disappearing Section Wheel

Yesterday I clicked on a couple of apps and nothing happened except the left side of the screen, with the wheel that moves you from app section to section disappeared. I have been using the Ugoos launcher for sometime now, without a problem.

Most of my apps still work, but a few are causing this problem.

I've run Malewarebites, but the problem is still there.

Any suggestions?
 
Force stop the app and clear cache. If that doesn't work,force stop the app and clear data. Restart the box afterwards.
 
Interest, when I went into to Show App, neither of the two app were there, so I deleted both of them. I'll find them online and reinstall.

Any other ideas?

I couldn't try your suggestion, because the apps didn't appear in the app section of settings, but your idea sent me to settings to find the apps weren't there.

I've reinstalled the apps and now they work just fine. I have no idea how this problem arose.

Excellent post, but our STB doesn't have Security & Restrictions, so I went into More Settings and clicked on Security & Locations/Google Play Protect and had to enable each app separately.

Don't know if that will solve the problem, but for now my problem apps seem to be working fine.
