[Unofficial] - 6.0.1 Marshmallow ROM for the U1

Which one are you asking for? There is a big difference between frame rate switching and auto refresh rate switching which is what you first queried.
I want to know if it changes for 24p or it keeps at 60p, since kodi 17 it never changes...

Thanks for a great rom. Everything works well except for my minix A2 lite remote. The power button and the recent apps button do nothing. I've looked everywhere for a id code for them or some way to reset them. I have come up blank. I see you have a file above re the remote. Sorry dumb question, but how do I flash that onto my box?
Much thanks...

Same here. The set up process went well, but as we no longer have a wired mouse in the household, we're unable to do anything on the screen. I can see Bluetooth isn't on and can't navigate to turn it on. Any suggestions very welcome.

Update (after message above): I downloaded the official TWRP app, then used that to flash the TWRP from the link here (to Mega). I rooted it (via the Minix settings - but you need to go into Play Store for the Super SU to update). Once you have that ready, you can go into the TWRP recovery. Here you have options, one of which is 'Install'. You can use that to install the pointer zip file. It works, with the official pointer.
The only ongoing issue I'm having is using my mini keyboard/remote. The Bluetooth shows it's paired, but it's unresponsive, so I can only use a wired mouse, or the pointer. Any fix for this?

Otherwise, the ROM is spot on. Thanks. (y)

Bom dia, JJ-KwiK tem alguma informação sobre android tv para u1? Estou muito ansioso para usar na minha caixa, desde que agradeço sua atenção

@jinner - have you tried other Bluetooth devices? I don't seem to have that issue, so I'm wondering if it's device specific. Do you have a link to the remote in question?
It's the Rii remote Bluetooth keyboard. Great little device, especially for typing. Here's an example: Rii

@JJ-KwiK I should have also added, yes, I have tried a mouse that I have too but no response, even though it shows as connected.

hi
can you please advise what the use of minix mouse pointer and how to patch it and what this TWRP FOR ,you didnt mention what to do with these files in the instruction ?

thanks
It turns the mouse pointer from a black mouse to the standard green minix mouse pointer.

Steps:
- Put the twrp img and the Minix pointer zip file on the root of a micro SD card.
- With the U1 unplugged, put the micro SD card into the U1.
- Hold the power button on the U1 with one hand and plug in the power cord with the other.
- Once in twrp, install the Minix pointer zip.
- Reboot
- Success

thank you very much ,is it possible to do anything for 3.5mm port ??? ?

@funkyirishman - I think the issue is related to the Android System Web view, but I have to look into it a little further.

My to-do list:
Compile twrp for U9 on Nougat
Root guide for U9 on Nougat
Android TV ROM for U9 on Nougat
Fix bugs with U1 Marshmallow ROM
Android TV ROM for U1 on Marahmallow

I see you have a big to do list but if are able and willing it would be FANTASTIC if you are able to fix "Cut and Paste" on the U9 so it works correctly .

I use my TV boxes to harvest paragraphs from the Internet. My two U1s do this fine but the U9 fails terribly as cut and paste only works if one uses an old version of the browser. This is a major issue for me. The U9 is almost useless for me unless cut and paste is fixed. It will be retired before my U1s.

I have been complaining on the old forum about this major bug since shortly after the U9 came out with no response. Very disappointed in the U9.

Please fix this.

Thank you.

How's the patched Netflix here? Noticing now that it's not available in the Play Store and that trying on the Chrome browser redirects to the app.

JJ-KwiK, Thank you, nice work (y). I upgraded my U1 today and everything went well. The A2 lite remote control works great and can power on the U1 even from power off state. But in case of my usage (A Smart Home Control app running all the time) and maybe many other users, the MCU setting (auto power-on when power adapter plugs in) was very important setting in the stock ROM, this is important after a power failure when no one is in home.

Is it possible to bring MCU setting into your ROM ? May I ask you to include this nice feature to your to-do list ?

very appreciated.

@jr43 - Sorry, without an official 6.0.1 from Minix, it's not possible.

UPDATE: Solved.
Surprisingly, it seems that the MCU setting (auto power-on when power adapter plugs in) is not a ROM feature, but a hardaware feature. Meaning that if you Enable/Disable MCU in stock firmware, it will be Enabled/Disabled in custom firmware too.

- In MINIX U1 stock firmware, Enable or Disable MCU setting.
- Flash custom firmware as explained.
- The MCU setting will work exactly in the new firmware.

JJ-KwiK, If you agree please add this tip to your OP. Thanks.
