[Unofficial] - 6.0.1 Marshmallow ROM for the U1

Ok was on another ROM and tried to install this, Then get the error

[0x00101004]Erase bootloader/Lowper/Identify/Error result

doc to big to post here

Any suggestions?

- Put the twrp img and the Minix pointer zip file on the root of a micro SD card.
- With the U1 unplugged, put the micro SD card into the U1.
- Hold the power button on the U1 with one hand and plug in the power cord with the other.
- Once in twrp, install the Minix pointer zip.
- Reboot
- Success

Thanks for the hard work. I installed the Minix mouse pointer but it is too big. I can go back to the old pointer. Thank you

I remember that in an old firmware the pointer was like that but then it was replaced in the following with a smaller pointer.
 
Another thing, I use a logitech k400 keyboard and it works but to scroll in the browser I have to move on the touch. Thank you
 
Great job! Does the latest netflix install in this OS version?
Thanks for providing what official support should provide!! I spent quite a bunch of € in this box to find out that is totally outdated and cant install latest apps. I am really disappointed.

What apps are you not able to install? The original U1 is based on Lollipop and is pretty much the minimum OS for apps to be compatible.

No, the Netflix app doesn't work on this. Shame as I was hoping to use it. But like a lot of android boxes now, you can't even find it in the Play Store as it's been limited to just a few things, like the NVidia.
That's why I'd asked earlier in this thread if the one bundled with the ROM works. I've yet to try it as I decided to just got for a Chromecast instead: much less hassle.

Many thanks for your effort.
After upgraded my Minix U1 box with your firmware, the bluetooth audio for my ATH-ANC900BT is now working.
With the previous official firmware installed, the BT headset can be paired and connected, but there is no BT audio.

Thanks again and keep up the good work.
 
Sorry if this has been answered. I did search and got nothing. Is it safe to assume the running Kodi 17 with this ROM fixes the jittery 1080P problem with the NEO U1 and Kodi 17?
 
I have read numerous posts on various forums about a problem with the NEO U1 on Lolipop and 1080P video problems under Kodi 17.

I just got my U1 on Tue and have not yet updated Kodi so I can't attest to this firsthand. Perhaps I have nothing to worry about?
