[Unofficial] - 6.0.1 Marshmallow ROM for the U1

I tried with another cable and working! thanks to all, with the two cables "ends" well ... but with the latter it works.

Is this the best version for Minix Neo U1? I want to use it for IPTV, do you recommend an app?

Thanks for all

Ok, I understand, I haven't used IPTV yet, I don't know what will be the best app for IPTV ... I'll be testing,

Thank you very much for the help !!

Boa tarde, agora com o lançamento do neo t5 com android tv 9.0, é possível usar o SO dela para fazer uma adaptação no neo u1? como ela tinha 2 processadores iguais, seria perfeito se alguém conseguisse

sorry there, I used the translator, but when I paste it appears in Portuguese, I don't know if it's because of a tool that I have here from google and he already translates the time I will post the question, I was able to disable here when posting, pardon

My minix-u1 is installed with the custom ROM. I have installed YouTube (for TV) version 2.07.02. Everything seems to work except during playback. It plays only for the first few seconds, and just pause. The video buffering is working well as seen on the progress bar. There is no lack of buffer for playback. Appreciate if you can take a look. I have attached a screenshot showing that the video has paused even the play state is still active.

On your advice, I revert to use youtube 1.3.8. However I face quite a lot of problems with this version. Many times the app cannot start up properly hanging in a black screen with a red vertical bar on the left side. Or at time complaints it cannot connect to the network with error "Please check your network connection. OK". Even if manages to get to the main screen, and able to play video; it can suddenly aborted and close youtube app unexpectedly.

Actually version 2.07.02. is running very well in my mecool KIII pro device.
After seeing all the problem with the installed v1.3.8, I again updated it to v2.07.02 via aptoide repository. Strangely it is now running without the video pause problem. Not sure if the reinstallation of v1.3.8 has left some system parameters setup for the v2.07.02 to make it stable. I will monitor and see if the problem reappear again.

I also has the youtube 14.43.55 installed on my neo-u1 box, It too is having problem. Many times it too cannot connect to the network; displaying "You're offline, check your connection. Retry", but always failed on retry. Verify network is ok, by using chrome to enter youtube and video playback is always ok.

The main reason I upgrade neo-ui to the custom ROM is that it fixes the bluetooth connection to my Audio Technica ATH-ANC900BT headset.
I am again facing BT connection problem with mecool KIII pro device. You mentioned in your release note that the custom ROM fixes BT connectivity. May I know what actually are the fixes being implemented. Will it need to be completely change the BT drivers. or just some BT configuration files changes.

Thanks, yes smartyoutubetv is working well. Strangely youtube v2.07.02 is still working until now after the upgrade from v1.3.8. At least I have another fallback to smartyoutube if ever v2.07.02 video pause problem appears again.

As for the Bluetooth fix, appreciate if you can provide more info on exactly which bluetooth configuration files need to be changed. Hopefully I can apply the same fix to my mecool KIII pro. I know Minix U9-H also uses android 7 and they have fixed the BT connectivity problem with the ATH-ANC90BT.

Thanks for pointing me to the actual file to make changes. Earlier I was still thinking that my ATH BT manufacturer/device ID was not included in the bluetooth conf files in the /etc/bluetooth. The reason was that mecool is able to make and pair with my AKG BT headset, but not the ATH.

As my mecool is running android 7, it seems the change is difference as compare to U1 android 6. I need to study more to see how to make the change to the file to get it to work with my ATH.

I have downloaded the aosp source for android 7.1.2, trying to go through the /system/bt source to have some basic understanding. However I am unable to locate the file which contains the visibility name as from your last comment.

In parallel I was also trying to extract the bluetooh.default.so from minix u9h img using the simg2img to convert and mount under ubuntu, but failed
with "invalid sparse file format". Do you have any idea what is the u9h img file format; and how to mount u9h img file to see the contents.

The reason I am looking at minix u9h rom is that U9H has the exact same hardware as mecool Kiii pro, both using A53 cpu. And I have tested and know that Minix u9h rom is able to pair with my ATH ANC900BT headset. May be its bluetooh.default.so would also work on mecool device.

Are you using wifi or ethernet?
Is your internet fast enough to support stream live video?
Is there a setting within the app to adjust video quality, to test?
What app?
Do you have other apps open?
When was the last time you restarted your box?
Thanks for response, my answers:-
Ethernet
50-85Mbits
I can choose FHD, HD and SD quality
It's a GMGM Kodi addon paid sub
I restart my box daily

I do not have video micro stutters using same addon on my Mecool android 7.x box

is refresh rate switching an option on this ROM...that may need to be enabled if so

I can see Adjust display refresh rate in settings/player/videos, it is off, I'll set it to on and see what happens.
Having selected it there are 4 options:- off, always, on start/stop and on start.
I'll try it on always first

Try that and see if works for you.

If that don´t work and to be sure is not a local network issue i advice you to restart your router.
