Update u22

meanwhile that we users wait for official update that never comes .... Slimbox comes out with 14.2 ... evvai and I think with future OTA updates!!

he may well have done but unfortunatley I cant find a way of stopping the minix display from being in constant HDR mode

KODI 19.3, at least for me, also seemed crippled with a few media files i tried that normally work fine
 
I prematurely updated firmware to newer version 202111105-Voo8_20211105-1705. Newer Firmware should update Kodi to v19,2, fix VPN problem, fix notification problem and fix wallpaper scaling issue. I can only say that wallpaper scaling issue is still present. Pitty...
Maybe I should reset U22-XJ to factory settings, who knows?

Since you updated the firmware, Factory Resetting brings you to the exact same updated firmware, it doesn't roll back to a previous firmware version.

To get to a previous firmware version you have to manually download the intended version and apply it following the given instructions. If you can't find any further issues that you had before the update, I would probably leave it for now until you find something related to what has been described by some in these posts, that might also be causing you trouble in a similar way.
 
CybeRider, I meant reset device in order to new firmware settle down a bit, and maybe work as it should after that. ;) Old habit from old WD TV Live after its firmware update. I don't want at this moment to revert 006A firmware back.

Thanks. I just thought it would be better to make it clear since some could think it would be possible to perform a rollback by factory resetting. I tested 008 several ways, by OTA, manually, and from stcratch, from V003 on a clear U22. If you feel better doing so, please let us have your thoughts afterwards. So far there are too many mixed feelings about v008 I'd say. ?

Good evening ... I'm a bit confused ... In the evening thanks to a friend with flashig I went back to fw006a ... Now from a check ... App ota gives me again fw008 .... You said it was withdrawn . But it's still there .... Was it corrected?
 
I wonder is it possible to downgrade firmware from v008 to v006 simply using flashing procedure with USB Burning Tool v2.2.0 ? Will I brick it?
 
Hello .... Is it possible to know if we can upgrade to fw008 .... Or have we all become beta testers? Then why did we go from 006a ... to 008? Where is 007?
 
So new update and what improvements have they made with 008? Sounds like unless you are having issues better NOT to update. Mine has been working just fine for the past few months so not sure this would be a good idea

The problem is not whether to update or not ..... The problem is having spent 180 euros for a product that promised to be Premium and instead it is not for now ..... I am a wounded lover of minix .... I owned U1 .. U9 ... now U22 .... But every time it's a disappointment ..... It's not a question of life or death ... But sometimes if I lie on the couch doing nothing. .. I would like to have a really nice product to have fun with ..... Now here on the forum every time an update came out it was officially shared ... Here instead I am used as a guinea pig tester ... And that's not good
