In Portugal the law that was approved for the current State of Emergency allows the practice of individual sports of short duration (whatever is meant by short duration is unclear), however the portuguese surf federation agreed and determined that surf practice is not a valid argument.
Well, apart from surfing, we can always say to the authorities that we are going shopping for the essential goods. As always we are the best policemen of ourselves to apply the required measures to keep us all safe.
Thanks. It is almost a classic. It was kept almost new for almost 20 years in the basement. I restored it (some tunning -especially the cantilever brakes, fit new tires for gravel, the gear levers needed special care as the lubricant inside the tiny cases had dried out). It is fully alluminium, 21 speed. The heaviest part in it is the cyclist.
Dogs are being also used as an excuse, people leave them attached to the parking poles at the supermarkets for the small shopping duration. I am already training my cat on the leach. I still haven't heard about fines here but 7 people were already arrested for not observing the restrictions. I am sure the measures applied in Spain will be here next. 😞
Just a few days ago we could only imagine how tough things were getting in China following the terrible news we were getting from there. Suddenly nature is reminding the entire world how small and fragile the boat we are all in is. Sadistically mocking those that put it a geographical name, it is especially showing that our permanence in this planet should not be taken for granted.
I do have to laugh (better than getting frustrated) at the very British response to the Coronavirus.
Everyone I speak to back home seems to still not take the virus too seriously and the newspapers are full of people enjoying the beach, parks and markets when they're supposed to be working from home and 'social distancing' (I'd love to know the marketing genuis who came up with that term - the most gentle way of telling people to keep away from each other).
I fear most people in the U.K won't wake up to reality until it's too late and they're forced to follow strict rules like Italy and Spain.
If there is anything we can do for you guys at the moment, just let me know. If you want any more MINIX products to stave off the boredom of home isolation, send me a PM
