Upgrading from 1904

I am 2 of these devices and trying to upgrade the Windows. One of them upgraded just fine to 20H1 (after much freeing of space and providing an external USB drive for space.
The 2nd one just will not upgrade- it goes through most of the steps, and then throws the error shown below and then reverts back to original version of Windows. Any ideas ??

Yes, I have a USB thumb drive with 32 gig of space on it.. The internal drive has about 10 gig of free space as well.

Have you tried with Win10 upgrade application ? (not in Windows update).

I have tried using Windows update to get the new features (new version) and also media creation tool and mounting the iso then executing it.

Are you referring to the Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant (that downloads Windows10Upgrade9252.exe) ?

I just tried the upgrade assistant method and it failed- the same message appeared when i logged in after 4 hours of the upgrade.

The unit is Z83-4 Pro (see attached screen snip) my email is Mod edit: email removed
