In case I connect my USB-C display to the USB-C port of my NEO J50C-4 and switch it on - only the BIOS is displayed in the monitor. Once windows is booting, the screen gets black. and I have to connect HDMI cable to see the windows logon screen. (The USB-C Display and cable are working on my notebook just fine).
What is wrong? Do I have to install a special display driver?

Yes, I did several restarts (power removed).
However, now it is working. I don't know why.

Some things you can do:

If you have unstable connection try with another USB-C cable.

Go to windows display properties and check/adjust your display resolution.

Go to windows update and check for new updates (display driver included).

Have you tried booting Windows into safe mode with the monitor still connected by USB-C?

Do you continue to lose the signal in safe mode too or does the display still function? (If it remains, it may point to a driver issue with your existing Windows system.)

Just Google booting Win 10 to safe mode for directions if you're not familiar with the process ;).

Let us know what happens :).
