Using Minix U9-H as home NAS?

Hello, i have my minix U9H connected to a USB 6T drive, and minix is connected to my home wired & wireless network. My doubts are:

- how to make minix (and usb drive, of course), visible to my home network, so that i can play from, copy/move to, copy/move from, delete, from my 6T drive?
(Basically, i think i can call it as a home NAS) I have to set it as a home server?

- Best tutorial to setup U9H?

- what do you recommend to make DLNA work, should i use PLEX ou XMBC/KODI?

Regards

It's not really designed to be a NAS per se but it will happily share files with other devices.

Use the U9-H's Samba server.

Kodi works well too.

Hello, thanks! I've done that but neither MINIX or the USB 5T WD appears, though i think MINIX appeared till some days ago... do i need to install any software on PC? how should the path appear \\minix\[usb disc identifier]?

Also make sure to give your U9-H a static IP address or at least make sure your router supports DHCP reservation.
