Can anyone advise on the DC voltage limitations. I want to replace the wall wart with a direct feed from a lipo4 battery pack but the regulated voltage from that device is almost 13v. Is that safe?

Not sure about the DC input but the USB type C port supports 9V/2A, 12V/5A, and 15V/3A power input.
