which is the best media player for minix u1 (no librelec/corelec)?

Hi everyone, I have inerithed a minix u1 and I'd like to know which is the best media player I could use with this box..It has preinstallad xbmc and it works fine with automatich refresh rate change, but I'd like something newer..any ideas? Thanks for the help

Note:
XBMC (old/original name) is in my opinion still the best media player you can have (i have tested this media player since the beginning of the project - just for XBOX)

Hi and thanks for your fast reply... I tried to install kodi since playstore but, even if I have setted kodi option do adjust display at the beginning/end of video, it didn't changed refresh rate properly... maybe I have made wrong something, I'll retry...

Another thing: can I set file brower to autostart at the boot of minix? I have set xbmc as default mediaplayer (but I'll try kodi as you suggested), but I don't know how to set file brower to open at the beginning of everything (or if not file brower xbmc/kodi)..any ideas? Thanks
