Hello all,

I would like to but a new TV and I have some doubts about the resolution supported by the NEO Z83-4 (I bought it with Windows 10 and I installed Ubuntu).
I would like to buy a TV with this technical details:
Screen diagonal [inch]
65
Screen diagonal [cm]
163
Screen format
16/9
HD format
4K Ultra HD
Resolution
3840 x 2160
On the box of the NEO Z83-4 is reported that the 4K resolution is supported, I would to be just sure that it is true, maybe someone of you had some experience about that.

Another question is: the NEO Z83-4 supports Ubuntu 18.04 just when it is installed, so I can update it to the newer version?

Spec says HDMI 1.4 so up to 4K at 30fps

dont see why not but i have never tried.

generally why are worried about the spec of the Z83-4 if you allready have one, you should just buy the highest spec of TV you can afford.

I dont have your model but you can watch this:

It is a review of my fellow Portuguese Roberto Jorge ☺.

As @pusb87 said 4k must be supported.

So does that it means that I shouldn't have any problem with this TV? For example image cut or something like that?

because I tried to install the newest version and the OS neither started, it worked just with Ubuntu 18.04 as reported in this section of the forum
Personaly i do this:
I use windows 10 (main OS) and i test other OS in a virtual machine (oracle virtual box).
With a virtual machine you can have a idea of the OS and later install for real.

I installed ubuntu 19.04 and it works fine in a virtual machine.

Thank you, it is normal that on the VM is working fine, but if you try to start a pendrive with Ubuntu 19,04 it won't work. If you try Ubuntu 18,04 will work (https://theminixforum.com/index.php?threads/neo-z83-4-ubuntu-18-04-01-build.227/ ).

I dont know if anyone try ubuntu 19 without vm but even so if you go to ubuntu website i think 18.04 is the recommended version.

I am a beginner in ubuntu ☺.

I use and i prefer windows, android.

I also like to test new things ☺
