Hello, not sure if that issue is still going on.
Had a similar issue with a Panasonic TV. If you go to the setup menu > Hdmi auto mode, you should be able to pick mode1 or mode2 for each HDMI output. Mode2 in my case allowed me to pick a higher resolution and a higher frame rate than mode1

Ditto, my Panny also uses mode 2 for all of my connected devices but they "should" usually be in mode 2 by default.

^^^^^ Also make sure that 16:9 overscan is OFF as well, (this specific feature may be labelled/worded differently across TV's from different manufacturers too.)

The display may be oversized or it won't correctly fit if it's left ON! (Or, even worse effects/symptoms in some cases.)

Have you connected any other HDMI 4K capable devices to your TV such as an Xbox, PlayStation, Blu-ray player, mini-PC, etc.? Are your other 4K devices successfully outputting to your TV at their maximum capable resolution or is it just the U9-H alone that's having these issues detecting/outputting 4K?

Did you also try specifically setting your U9-H to "RGB mode" as @MINIX - John previously suggested for another member too? (Details here - https://theminixforum.com/index.php...-support-my-3840x2160-tv.842/page-3#post-4771 .)

Otherwise, I can't actually find a Panny model TX-50CXC720 series when searching. (A CX720, CXE720 or a CXC725 shows up, but not specifically a "CXC720"!!)

You may just be unlucky to have a variant of an almost identical model (with the accompanying regional firmware) that doesn't include the full capabilities of what is virtually an identical model TV when sold in another region to your own, (albeit typically with a different model number). "If" that is the case, your TV possibly may not support 4K over HDMI, only natively from installed apps, or the built in media player which of itself has very limited support when compared to an app like Kodi running on a U9-H as well.

Which region are you in? (As with many other manufacturers & types of devices, Panasonic frequently give what's essentially the same or very similar hardware different model numbers if sold in different regions or nations, and/or with different firmware versions typically specific to any given region/nation. (My UK TX-50EX750B series, as an example, is sold under several different model variations globally. Those variations can be anything from relatively minor to different hardware or capabilities as applicable, (obviously many different firmware versions are also respectively available). I.e. some variants had later support added for HDR10+ from the TV's native apps or the built in media player, but no such support was added for HDR10+ over HDMI. In line with that, some variants received firmware upgrades to the full HDMI 2.0b specification whilst others remained at HDMI 2.0a.

This may also be the case with your TV in other ways. Not to mention, purchasing a 4K TV prior to 2017 could literally be a lottery at times as to what they may or may not actually support "as advertised" as well!!

Many owners who rushed out to purchase the earlier model budget to mid range 4K TV's very quickly found out the hard/expensive way that their TV's had very limited forwards compatability indeed, if any!! Unfortunately, there's an outside chance you may need to consider updating your TV yet again if you'd like to take full advantage of devices like the U9-H.

Some of the available firmware variations can actually function across these "same but different" models but they may also have reduced or increased capabilities respectively as well and/or certain settings or pre-installed apps also having geo-restrictions. (However, I'm not at all suggesting that you should start messing around manually installing other firmware versions to your specific TV without knowing exactly what you're doing beforehand as it could completely brick your TV if done incorrectly or the wrong version is used!!!!)
