Wi-Fi Hotspot and Wi-Fi Direct Challenges Minix Z100 0db

I recently purchased a Z100 0db to use in the field to control my astrophotography setup including cameras and mount. I currently use a laptop that is connected to the mount via a USB cable. I'd like to eliminate that cable (potential tangle hazard) by mounting the Minix on my telescope and then RDP to it over Wi-Fi. It's important to note here that there is no Internet where I do my astrophotography. Unfortunately, the Minix (Windows, actually) doesn't want to bring up the Wi-Fi Hotspot if it doesn't have an Internet connection. I've tried every trick Chat AI could tell me to no avail, including myriad config changes and creating and binding a loopback nterface. So I tried to setup Wi-Fi direct. To use this, Windows requires that I install the optional Wireless Display feature. I managed to get that installed on my laptop, but on the Minix I get "couldn't install" after it appears to go through the entire installation process. Anyone have any suggestions either getting the hotspot to work without an Internet connection or getting Wi-Fi direct to work on the Minix?

Thanks, tomvp. I had followed those instructions and went over them again and again. I did it one more time and this time I found that I had a typo in the Powershell script filename in the task scheduler arguments. Everything works now. I'm thrilled.
