Wi fi

After multiple tests ... I can say that on my Minix u22 frequency wi fi 2.4 does not work at all ... And since it is located far from the modem router it is a proh lema for me ... Same position for my U9 problem does not exist. .... Found both defective box and remote control? A little sorry

yes I tried all the channels ... I noticed the problem from the first day ... but now it is becoming a problem ... I think my Minix u22 is defective ... now ... what to do.?

have you tried different channels?

@Skynet, user had already asked that here:
https://theminixforum.com/index.php...fw-20200430-bugtracker.2759/page-8#post-21982

And since I could never have any of my Minix boxes to work properly at 2.4Ghz when connected to a double frequency router, even if that could be useful at times, I gave him my best suggestion, which he had obviously already tried. The U22-XJ as the U1 don't have a function similar to the U9-H to select the WiFi frequency, and so obviously this sitution is still not solved by the user... Obviously he will be posting again and again until we get him an obvious solution.

EDITED: The obvious solution is to bring the WiFi signal closer to the U22-XJ, by extending the router signal with one of those simple devices that are meant to do exctly that, and allow the box to connect to the 5GHz signal as it should.

I have now the same problem with Wi-Fi but with 5Ghz. Suddenly can not more see 5 GHz.

Did you contact your internet provider to see what is wrong with it? Sometimes they make interventions to a frequency relying that people can connect to the other. For how long has it been like that?

Example Foto CTN 2.4Ghz can see but not CTN 5GHz (I have set on modem with this name).

I answer you to make you understand a good time that people ask for existing things ... you can do what you want with your box .... then I have always had the same minix u9 position away from the modem with wifi 2.4 and not I seem to have never encountered problems .... if I write that the 2.4 wifi frequency does not work ... you have to believe me and not instead convince me to use the 5 frequency .....all my android devices run at 2.4 .... in the same position ...... u22 unfortunately no .... to better understand the problem I have eliminated network 5 to convince me that it is wrong ..... if there are details or faulty functions in a product. .... there are guarantees to protect the customer who purchased the product ....

Example Foto CTN 2.4Ghz can see but not CTN 5GHz (I have set on modem with this name).

I would switch off the power to the modem and restart it back. If this fails get into the modem settings and check the steps you touched to make sure that frequency is correctly set.

What is the Frequency from Minix ? If I know that than i can check from my Internet Modem?

The Minix box will be looking for the best frequency to connect. If you would have a single frequency router it would deal perfectly with the frequency in it.

However, in a double frequency router it will still be looking to the 5Ghz frequency, but will connect to the 2.4Ghz if the signal for it is stronger. That is why it is important to keep the SSID and password separately for each frequency so you keep them well apart.

There are devices that can only connect to the 2.4, these can not see the 5Ghz frequency. Your Minix box will be able to see both frequencies and should be connected to the 5Ghz frequency to perform well and avoid conflict with the other frequency when both frequencies exist inside the same router.

EDITED: As per some extensive testing I believe the Minix U22-XJ cannot, so far, connect to the 2.4Ghz frequency in a double frequency router.

@fabzilla, there are good news and bad news:

Bad news: I also can't find a way to connect a Minix U22-XJ to the 2.4Ghz frequency in a double frequency router.

Good news: Should your Minix box act as the one I tried, then your Minix box is obviously not broken.

I am not trying to convince you of anything. I am giving you my sincere opinion about what I think you should do, in case you wish to keep you device, and in case you wish to keep it working at its best possible performance. But you are the only one to decide. I actually don't care much to what steps you will take next. But you know what to do when a product doesn't meet your expectations.

I reinforce other's opinion that maybe this product is not for you. I am not returning any of mine. But I also know this is obviously not to your concern.

@fabzilla

I am able to connect to 5GHZ and 2.4GHZ.

Try this first:
Restart both minix and router.

You must review your setup.

Since your device is located far from the router i advice you to buy : (to increase your wifi signal)
Wifi repeater or a power line.

as is 2.4 GHz

Is that the gateway router to the internet or a home network router?

There is something really strange here and I won't easily quit on my side until I find it. My ISP router refuses to accept the password to the 2.4Ghz network from the U22-XJ.

I am actually writing this reply with a U9-H connected to the same router, same exact spot, 2.4Ghz frequency, which password is always refused by the U22. It connected to the U9-H fast and easy.
