Wifi Antenna Upgrade?

My android box is located in a remote part of the house where signal drops at times and I dont have the ability to run an ethernet cable.

Can anyone advise if the screw antenna can be upgraded for the Neo U9-H?

If yes, can you advise on a replacement?

Many thanks

I agree with power line adapters.
Another option is wifi repeater (not power line).

But the best of course is a wired connection.

Powerline adapters are effectively wired connections!
Particularly if you use the Ethernet option of a Powerline adapter and not the WiFi option.
Yes. I know how it works and i saw places that have them.

I saw reviews of power line and i still prefer wired connections ☺ for several reasons.

My house has plenty of cable.
Yesterday i bought another switch (8 ports) to my long network ☺.

But there are users that don't like to make holes, run cables , etc and power line is a good option.

I never tried (and don't have) wifi extender (not power line) but i saw videos , reviews and in shops, should work well.

Looks like he tried some sort of option like that!

What are these exactly?
I think they are similar to power line adapters, but often the word "boost" is used as a marketing tool and is misleading.
You cant boost something that isnt there in the first place.

another example of injudicious use of the word boost

these devices can merely extend

the second reference has IMHO the best answers

order of preference for mixed Wifi/Hardwire networks would be

  • Ethernet run to Access Points (or routers set to act as Access Points)
  • Powerline (or MoCA) Ethernet Adapters to Powerline WiFi access points or Powerline Ethernet to Powerline Ethernet to Access Point
  • Mesh
  • Range Extenders
