WiFi Issues - NEO U22-XJ (FW004)

It is hard to report it as a bug for such a hit and miss kind of issue. My personal case, my U22 was perfectly well connecting to channel 56, until the service provider had that crash, and only then things started to get strange.

My option for channel 36 was only because in my area that is the defaut channel for a different operator, so I decided to give it a try and it worked. There was no other reason than that, and I really can't point out a reason why that particular channel would work in spite of any other. My second choice would have been 104, once again because it is the preferred channel for another operator, but since 36 worked I didn't try that one.

I avoid trying channels that nobody is using since for quite some time the only channel where I could catch Internet signal in my area, for the 5Ghz, for some reason was the single channel my ISP had by default and the only one we could connect to, either in "Auto" mode, or manually.

I am glad you managed to get it working. ;)

Thanks again for the suggestion!

My router's 5GHz Wireless Channel is set to Auto. I changed it to 100 and confirm it is no longer found by the U22-XJ.

I have no idea what this means or whether it is a bug?!

I will do further tests with other devices and channel 100 when I can.

Thanks for confirming that your unit has issues with WIFI Channel 100 as well.

Is anyone able to connect to WIFI Channel 100 on a U22?

Thanks for reporting that you can't connect to Channel 100 either.

If no one can connect to Channel 100, either it's by design that Channel 100 doesn't work (in which case it should be documented), or it's a bug (that should be resolved).

Thanks!

OK so I tried on my Minix U1, T5 and U22 with 5gHz at Channel 100.

The T5 sees it and connects OK ( Android TV OS)
The U1 doesnt see it ( Android OS)
The U22 doesnt see it (Android OS)

but with Coreelec on the U22 it sees and connects fine to 5GHz Channel 100.

I normally use Channel 48 and all devices connect fine on this channel.

Conclusion > U22 Android fimware is inhibiting Channel 100 on 5GHz

As I mentioned in my OP, my U9-H was able to connect to Channel 100.

So you mentioned that you think the U22 is inhibiting Channel 100. Do you think this is intentional?
