Wifi not working

I am almost 90% sure I downloaded this exact firmware. Because I remember watching this instructional video. So the Wifi isn't working. I can't seem to toggle it On and it doesn't detect my network. So you think it's because of the wrong firmware?

If you've flashed the correct firmware then the only other idea I have is that the antenna has become disconnected internally.

Is Bluetooth working?
 
So does the Netgear extender and ethernet cable work? Here's the deal. My buddy paid me $75 for this box. I've spent hours and hours trying to get it to work. But the wifi doesn't work. I don't want to give him the money back and take back this useless POS. I can bet one of these extenders for $30 and an ethernet cable. Would that solve the problem? All I'm trying to do is install Kodi and other IPTV streaming services.

Have you tried factory reset in the Android system recovery mode? see attach files.
Attached keyboard , power down the MINIX and then reconnect the power cord and then hold the reset button in with a pin tack and press the power button on the MINIX for 6 seconds then release.
If no luck, try to manually re-install the firmware. I would recommend using a latest version USB Burning Tool.

Doesn't matter how much resetting and flashing he does if this is the case...

@blackbeagle can you check Bluetooth please. This will prove if there is antenna issues!

Guys hopeless case, i have the same issue for the last 3 years and could not solve it at all. I reset the box, downloaded the original firmware, i made factory reset, i tried the new firmware lollipop rom1. i did all the possible things with no hope, the bluetooth works, the hotspot on the box works so antenna working 100% percent but no wifi at all, you put it on but can't find networks at all. I contacted the company a lot of times, i wrote on the forum with no help. I can't understand how it's possible that there is no way just to reinstall the wifi driver on an android. No one in the whole world could answer that, i mean where is the brains out there? With so many developers, geeks, hackers etc... No one can access a box drivers easily and fix a wifi issue. After so many years suffering from it, i finally got android TV which serves good so far but still trying to find a way to crack this wifi mystery. I did not let anyone that i know to buy minix boxes since i faced that issue, shame that the company did not care.
 
Update:

So I reinstall the latest firmware and it went all the way through w/o any errors. Plugged box into my TV and Voila, it sees the wireless networks. Connected up to it, started to install apps. Everything is golden. Then I give it back to my buddy. Day 1, he hooks it up to his network but only got about 10mbps. That's not enough to stream. His phone picks up 90mbps. Not sure what the problem is. Day 2, he tries again and this time, the wifi cannot see any of his network. We're back to square one. Unbelievable. What did he do that could have reset the box so that it no longer sees his wifi?
 
Hello im in strange situation . my minix neo X8 -h plus usb is not working. last night i power it off from the menu and yesterday when i started Minix its usb is not working anymore. i tried all the tricks to start usb again buti fail. last i go for reinstall a firmware but even its micro usb is also not working how can i now reinstall firmware ??

Does any one have any solution for this problem ??

Wwefan, this particular thread is for the discussion of issues with the Neo U9-H. You've also posted the exact same question under another X8-H Plus thread here too, ( https://theminixforum.com/index.php?threads/wifi-not-working.976/page-2 ).

You don't need to double post!! If you don't get a timely reply to your original post under the X8-H Plus thread regarding your problem then you can always start a new discussion for USB issues with an X8-H Plus. However, just create one new discussion please, not multiples ;)!!
