Hi, thank you for your reply, I prefer a clean installation instead of minix image, so i found the drivers here https://files.theminixforum.com/shared/drivers/J50C-4-Drivers-20180508.zip
Hi. What i normal do when i need to install a new OS:

1-I check first if MINIX image is up to date
https://theminixforum.com/index.php?forums/neo-j50c-4-official-windows-10-os-images.139/

2-If it is up to date i install MINIX image (which already contains all the needed device drivers)

3-If MINIX image is not up to date i install MICROSOFT ISO and then i install the needed MINIX drivers

The official MINIX images are a completely clean installation of Windows. The only difference is that they're already preconfigured with ALL of the correct & relevant drivers that you ended up downloading separately. This in turn saves end users messing around having to locate & install various individual drivers themselves, (as you have done ;) ).

You've actually created more work & problems for yourself going that route rather than making it easier & just using the official MINIX image to begin with ;)!!

At least you'll know now should there be a next time ;). However, if you keep your system well backed up & take a full image periodically while everything is running perfectly well, you'll never need to start from scratch again should something get messed up or corrupted.

I think @tzav wanted to avoid performing Windows updates so opted to do a full 20H2 image install.

As I pointed out in my post, for ease and speed, he should have used the Windows 10 Update Assistant.

We all want to avoid bloody Windows updates mate lol ;).

Nevertheless, ultimately they're the very essence of unavoidable :(!! He'll still obviously need to use the update system for the next major update beyond 20H2 not to mention routine updates as well if he wants to keep his system up to date, (which is presumably why he used a generic copy of Windows 20H2 in this instance rather than using the most recent official MINIX image that's "relatively" dated, yet still updatable in the usual manner).

Agreed, the Win 10 update assistant is a very useful tool indeed but that can still choke or fail sometimes too.

Working mostly fine however i already lost a full Win10 system with it.

It (or the proverbial sh*t) happens lol ;).

I've always found it useful "in general" too but it ended up seriously messing up a couple of critical drivers for me as well with one of my systems, which was a bit of a disaster & I couldn't correct the extensive damage it did. Thankfully, I'd taken an image before using the tool to recover that way or I would have been facing a complete loss too.

"Touch wood", thankfully I've never had it fatally corrupt an entire Win 10 system.... "Yet" ;). (Although, knowing my luck it's just a matter of time now I've said that out loud lol ;)!!)

I have to mention that minix images is NOT clean windows with updates, i have notice some already installed programs (i don't remember them now because i didn't pay attention) and my default user wasn't the only administrator on the system!!!
I'm IT for more than 15 years now i know when an installation is clean or not ;)

I don't have any problem with the updates, i format my PCs when they need it, not just to make updates...
