Windows 11 Display drivers

Hi all,

After my successful upgrade on Windows 11, both windows update optional updates and Intel driver updates advise that there is new display driver. In fact Intel site is advising below

The reason that I am looking to the update is because the video streaming is little sluggish compared to windows 10 prior upgrade (not very annoying but it is there) and I was wondering if the display driver could be the case. What do you suggest ? Can I proceed with above or leave it like this in view of OEM ? I understand that there is no Windows 11 display driver by Minix to install.

Many thanks !

Many thanks for prompt feedback. In fact the screenshot included in my first email is from intel assistant that has a suggestion on checking with OEM manufacturer prior any upgrade. For the time being I will stay with default drivers and monitor the issue.

I always update all Intel drivers when the Intel Driver Assistant advises there are updates!

I just switched on the G41V-4 and there was a notification for 3 updates.

Streaming from where?

It is from a Greek Tv station that has their series available for view on the internet. My connection is adequate (100 Mbps) so there are no issues to this respect. I have arranged to get a laptop to test the site from another windows 11 pc using the same network that minix does.

Will revert shortly with screenshot from Windows update as well. Indeed it is very strange not to appear at your minix (?)

This is what is being included in my update. I considered that first option was the display driver, this might not be correct though.

Nope, diplay drivers are called Intel Graphics as seen in @Villa screenshot.
You can update all available drivers.

Once more thank you all for your prompt and comprehensive feedback and will proceed accordingly.

Also, just allow me to share that my first experience with Minix is excellent and that the G41V-4 max is a very competent device to fully silently accompany any Tv set providing full laptop PC capabilities at fraction of size and cost. I am currently using Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse that are working perfectly and I am looking forward to be receiving the Neo W2 remote which should be even better as user experience.

After a couple of weeks of operation, it appears that when this issue takes place (video being little sluggish), the CPU load is 100%. As it appears to me that the CPU should be sufficient enough for live stream at 1080p, I changed the energy settings at full performance but without any results. SSD now is a Samsung 860 Evo 500 gb that has improved performance on hard disk part but has not affected video play. Any thoughts ?

Hi. i already tested windows 10 (PRO) and windows 11 (PRO) and in both cases the device has poor video performance.
My advice is to try a linux distribution:
1-starting maybe with ubuntu desktop or linux mint (64 bits versions)
https://ubuntu.com/
https://linuxmint.com/
2-if the problem continues you can try lubuntu (64 bits version)
https://lubuntu.net/

Note:
-I did not test any linux distribution (in this particular device) but i think that it will improve your overall experience

Many thanks on your comprehensive and valuable insight as also as on your checking of both windows versions. I can say that so far the issue remains but for the time being it is not that annoying. Will give it some more time and should the situation start being annoying, I will take my chances with either one of linux distributions as per your 1. paragraph. Once more thank you for investing time on this.

For those that are reading this thread, I would like to make clear that I remain satisfied with G41-max and I would be buying this still today. The fact that is completely silent is a must have for me and apart from this minor 1080p live streaming issue it performs superb for what it is.
