Note that this is a very early version.
If you want to play video in 4K or 60fps, stay with Smart YouTube TV v6.17.724 or use "Smart Tube Next", which is still in beta and lacks support for some formats, like vp9.

Never tested, just some web and users feedbacks
Old version version seems better.

Yeah, you beat me to it! I was going to post the same.

I have been using it daily and getting regular updates, each time adding new functionality.

I still think it needs more improvement, like making the video previews larger.

I just updated from 7.7 to 8.6 and it's looking so much better!

I use NewPipe myself, and I'm pretty sure it's holding my history.
I didn't have problems with the A3 remote in NewPipe either.
