Hi all,
I do have the following task & set-up for my Minix U9-H's (infact I own two with exactly the same shortcomings...):
I have a 75" Sony Monitor (FW-75XE8501) which I have my U9-H connected to in order to serve as a kind of a home made "digital signage" signaling device to basicly show picture based content in a galery showroom. To make up those slideshows I employ google slides, which really works like a charm by itself.
As my monitor itself is running on Android TV, some might ask why using an external TV box at all in the first place? I figured out that Android TV infact is a very crippled version of Android itself and wouldn't allow to install many of the apps I find useful and would not like to miss - the google slides app itself being not available for Android TV.
So, I am using the U9-H for this workaround, have it running continously and just switch on/off the screen with its inbuilt timer function (which also works fine).
My problem now is, that within a matter of a few days to weeks, the U9-H is crashing for certain, no matter what. Sometimes the screen remains black as if the box has been switched off, sometimes I have already witnessed a weird blinking vertical line on the screen because the resolution has mysteriously changed from full 4k to 6px by 2160px (?!). No matter how it crashed, I can just bring it back to life by pulling the power line and restarting.
Exactly this same behaviour I witnessed with my other U9-H - infact this was the very reason that I bought another one as replacement...
Has anyone here faced the same problem with continous operation? Is the U9-H just not designed for that? Any idea for a workaround?
I would appreciate our help!!
Thanks - Andreas
