CoreELEC - MINIX U9-H

Does anyone know how to disable usb power when the device is shutdown? I've got two SSD's attached and currently when I shut the U9-H down the SSD's remain powered on, I've googled it and found you can add usbpower=0 to config.ini, but there doesn't appear to be a config.ini on the U9-H, thanks.

CoreElec 9.2.1 is available.

Been running 9.2.1 for a few days now. It appears the strange stuttering with some files has been fix, but (isn't there always a but?) now I have encountered a really peculiar stutter on an old (1990's) TV series. The stutter is so odd I just don't know how to describe it. It's like a combination of a vertical shutter and a very slight roll back. I should note that I have watched this series many time without a single issue. I assume this is a Kodi 18.5 issue.

The OSD can be activated using one of the following methods...

  • Pressing ctrl+⇧ Shift+o on a keyboard

I want it configure to a Single Key by pressing like ''Z' or ''Y'' because the MINIX NEO A3 Remote do not have a Ctrl button, i tried everthing maybe i dismissed something please help me guys . Is there a CTRL Button in A3 remote Control .I am a big fan of Minix Products.

I use Coreelec , also i tried it to find in the Keymap Editor as Addon . But i was not able to Change it because the Option is not visible for me.

Could you help me to configure my Remote.

Is there a Ctrl button? I mean in the A3 Remote or better would be to configure single Button press.

Running 9.2.1 on my U9H internally.

Since this latest update I have noticed much less occasional stutter when playing movies, so that's a plus. The odd stuttering issue I mentioned previously has only shown up on those few files (thankfully).

But now I am also having a power issue. I have always used the A2 Lite remote power button to shut down my U9H. It has always worked without issues, until 9.2.1. Now when I turn off the U9H, about 80% of the time the screen will go blank, but the blue LED does not go off.

My procedure is to always remove power from my devices when I am not using them. This means that power gets removed from the U9H while the blue LED is on. When I power on again, the U9H also starts, but often doesn't start properly and just hangs with a black screen.

The other 20% of the time it shuts down as it should.

Additionally, I am still getting the "green screen" with 9,2,1, although much less frequently than with 9.2.0.

Hopefully the next update will resolve this.

Hey guys,

I want to give CE a go, but can I use it with FW001 CE firmware, or must I revert back to official FW008? Thanks in advance!

Hey guys,

I tried to run CE. But when I try to boot from pendrive, I gets stuck at the minix boot logo and does absolutely nothing.. When I pull out the pendrive and reboot, it runs just fine..

I followed all the steps exactly as mentioned...

1. Download the latest .img.gz file from here 4.5k.
2. Use Rufus 2.0k (or your preferred image writing software) to burn the downloaded image file to your SD card / USB flash drive.
3. Browse to the Device Trees folder, now present on the SD card or USB flash drive, and copy the correct .dtb 5.0k image file for your device to the root folder of the SD card / USB flash drive, and rename it to dtb.img.

What am I doing wrong?
