so frustrating. I just don't get why Minix themselves won't chime in on what it can or can't do. do they not want to sell a ton of these things or what? tho I suppose silence can be deafening..So much for Dolby Vision support ?

MX Player and Kodi 19.were you using plex or mx player at all?
Yeah, it's unfortunate to say the least.I was looking forward to this Minix because of the "dolby vision" support. There were several questions about it but Minix won't answer or giving any useful info.
well that's not entirely true. the u9-h performed phenomally well for me for many years, with full 4k hdr + frs + hd-audio support in stock Android - pretty damn impressive. I'd say it has to be one of, if not the, best 'Chinese' box on the market. So I'm sure after many kinks are sorted (as there were with the u9 too) it will be amazing as well. But I agree that they absolutely should not be showing fancy dolby vision Ad promos on their product page if all it actually does is applies just a pseudo dv to the gui lol. It's always the same with these boxes. Great specs but it never works the way that you're hoping for. In the past i ordered often a "chinese" tv box but i will never buy one anymore until the things got confirmed that i want to work.
Yeah, I'm not holding my breath.Hopefully Minix will come out of their hibernation and will give the exact specs about the dolby vision support.
MX Player and Kodi 19.
have you even read this short threadHello
I'm interested (like a lot) by new Minix U22 and I (we) would like to buy it
But first, just a simply question : can play DV profile 07 files (mp4 or TS) or not ?
By using, Plex, Kodi or whatever you want, we need to know if it's possible and what profiles are compatible.
Thanks a lot
On my Nvidia Shield 2019 Dolby Vision works with Kodi 19.Kodi doesn't support Dolby Vision.
Please use the Plex app for Dolby Vision testing
Yes, I've read all post but there's not official informationhave you even read this short thread

Oh ok, thank youSorry I can't help you but I haven't tried any dv files. That post was just a translation from another member
VLC is pretty terrible for DV content, would you mind trying it with mx player or plex at all?I managed to play a DV file from VLC, however the colours are completely messed up. There is a green tint over the video and all the colours seem to go from green to some kind of dark pink / purple. Same file on my TV's player renders perfectly. Not sure if that's a VLC issue tho
I just tried with mx player, the same file will just give me a black screen.VLC is pretty terrible for DV content, would you mind trying it with mx player or plex at all?
